The Gubal

I recently had the amazing pleasure to meet with electronic producer (and Gubal player) Amadeus Paulussen in Basel, Switzerland.

Amadeus has a unique way of mixing handpans with electronic music. In his new album "1", he incorporates the PANArt Gubal. The result is groovy, fun and inspiring.

During my visit to Basel, Amadeus was gracious enough to let me try his Gubal. Here is a short video documenting that experience on the Rhine river banks.

Finally being able to play the Gubal helped me understand the direction PANArt is taking with its new instruments, how they are moving away from the Hang and its celestial sound, and moving towards more earthy sounds.
